Privacy

This website collects the bare minimum: what you write to me through the contact form and anonymous visit statistics. No ads, no third-party trackers, no data sold.

Data controller

Ethan Rieu, publisher of this website. For any question about your data:

contact@erieu.fr

Contact form

Data collected: name, e-mail address, message, and the language of the site you used.

Purpose: replying to you. Your data is used for nothing else: no marketing, no newsletter, never sold.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: 3 years from our last exchange, then deleted.

Recipients and processors

Your messages are only read by me. Two technical providers are involved in delivering them:

Resend (sends the e-mail to my inbox) and Vercel (hosts the website), both based in the United States.

These transfers outside the European Union are covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission standard contractual clauses).

Security and spam protection

To prevent abuse, your IP address is kept in memory for one hour at most to cap sending at 5 messages per hour. It is never stored or linked to your message.

Like any host, Vercel keeps technical logs (including IP addresses) for a limited time to keep the service secure and running.

Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies. Only aggregated data is measured: pages viewed, referring site, country, device type, browser and operating system.

Visitors are not identified: the fingerprint used to count visits is anonymised and reset every day. This measurement therefore does not require your consent.

Cookies

A single cookie is set: i18n_redirected. It remembers the language of the site (English or French) when you land on the home page, for 12 months.

As it is required for the interface to work, it is exempt from consent. No advertising, social media or tracking cookies are used. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to me: I reply within one month at most.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
